About the Job
Dental Assistant: Hygiene and Sterilization (Full Time)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8 AM–4 PM (no Fridays or weekends)
A stable, low‑drama office where your organization keeps the day on track.
Red Lion Dental is looking for a full‑time Dental Assistant focused on hygiene support and sterilization. We’re a solo‑doctor, 2‑hygienist practice with a 4.9‑star Google rating and a tight‑knit team that genuinely enjoys working together.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Pay: $18–$21/hour, based on experience
- Schedule: 4‑day workweek, no nights or weekends
- Stability: Predictable hours in a calm, organized office
- Support: Clear systems, a doctor who respects the team, and hygienists who value your role
- Benefits: Scrubs provided, 401(k) eligibility with match, Spear Education online CE access, and dental benefits
This is a great fit if you like structure, want steady hours, and enjoy helping the day run smoothly.
How You’ll Help
You’ll be the anchor that keeps hygiene and sterilization moving on time.
For assisted hygiene, you will:
- Bring patients back and help them feel welcome
- Update medical histories and records in our software
- Take necessary X‑rays in line with office protocols
- Capture updated iTero scans to support patient education and treatment planning
- Complete a brief pre‑clinical interview so the hygienist starts with context
At the end of visits, you will:
- Take payment and review any financial details with the patient
- Schedule the next hygiene visit or follow‑up appointments
- Break down and reset the operatory to office standards
Between patients, you will:
- Maintain sterilization and instrument flow
- Monitor room turnover so providers stay on schedule
- Support the team with simple tasks that keep the day running smoothly
You’ll work with Open Dental, intraoral cameras, and iTero scanning (we can train the right person on scanning).
What We’re Looking For
- Active Pennsylvania radiology certification required on day one
- Experience as a dental assistant is welcome; strong externs and new grads will be considered
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, highly organized environment
- Clear, friendly communicator with patients and teammates
- Able to learn new technology and follow systems consistently
- iTero or digital scanning experience is preferred but not required
We’re looking for someone who wants a long‑term home, values predictable hours, and takes pride in being the person everyone can rely on.
Our Core Values (How We Work Together)
Insatiable Growth
You’re open to learning and improving, even when you’re already doing well. You use feedback, training, and online CE to get a little better each week so we can take better care of patients.
Clinical Excellence
You care about doing things the right way: proper sterilization, great X‑rays, accurate records, and a smooth patient experience. “Be Well” is our tagline because we focus on wellness and quality of life, not just the absence of disease.
Sincere Candor
You’re honest, respectful, and coachable. You can speak up when something’s off, accept feedback without drama, and give feedback in a way that helps the team.
If this sounds like the kind of office you’ve been looking for, apply today. We’d love to meet you.
